Chairside SMS Terms

These terms cover Chairside appointment alerts, the text messages sent by Chairside Booking LLC, a Nevada limited liability company ("Chairside," "we," "us"), on behalf of the barbers, stylists and beauty pros ("pros") who use the Chairside Booking app.

What these texts are

Chairside texts are transactional only. They are about your appointments:

  • Booking confirmations
  • Appointment reminders
  • Changes and reschedules, including when your pro moves your appointment
  • Cancellations

We never send marketing or promotional texts. Every text identifies Chairside as the sender.

We only send the kinds of texts listed above, and only the ones that apply to you.

How you sign up

Agreeing to texts is optional. You can book, or create an account, without agreeing to texts. If you want appointment texts, you can agree on the website:

On the website. When you book on your pro's booking page at chairsidebooking.com as a guest, when you create an account to book, or when you log in to book, you can check a box to get appointment texts from Chairside. The box is optional, it is separate from these terms and the Privacy Policy, and it is never checked for you. If you leave it unchecked, you can still book. If you are already signed in on the website, the box isn't shown again, and we still send texts only to numbers that have agreed.

We send no texts to a number that hasn't agreed. We record when and how your consent was given.

The exact checkbox wording and the steps are shown at How clients opt in to Chairside texts. It is a public page; you don't need to log in to see it.

Sample messages

  • Confirmation: "Chairside: You're booked with Sam R. on Sat Oct 31 at 1:45 PM. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
  • Reminder: "Chairside: Reminder, Sam R. tomorrow Sat Oct 31 at 1:45 PM. Reply STOP to opt out."
  • Change: "Chairside: Sam R. moved your appt to Sun Nov 1 at 11:00 AM. Questions? Contact Sam R. Reply STOP to opt out."
  • Cancellation: "Chairside: Your Sat Oct 31 1:45 PM appt with Sam R. was cancelled. Reply STOP to opt out."

How often

Message frequency varies with your appointments. Usually you'll get 2 to 3 texts per booking: a confirmation when you book, a reminder the day before, and, only if it happens, a text when your appointment changes or is cancelled.

Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details. Chairside doesn't charge you for texts.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any Chairside text at any time. You can also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT. We'll stop right away and send one last text to confirm:

Chairside: You're unsubscribed and will get no more texts. Reply START to resubscribe.

Stopping texts doesn't cancel your appointments. To change or cancel an appointment, contact your pro.

Changed your mind? Reply START (or UNSTOP) to any Chairside text to re-subscribe and turn texts back on. We'll reply:

Chairside: You're resubscribed to appointment texts. Msg frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your mobile carrier and coverage, and texts can sometimes be late or not arrive. Please don't rely only on texts for your appointment time; you can always check with your pro.

Your privacy

Your mobile number is used only to send the texts described above.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We never sell your mobile number.

We use Telnyx, a messaging provider, only to deliver our texts. It may not use your number for anything else. Read our Privacy Policy (see Text messages and your mobile number).

Changes

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
